Sounds like you still have to try again. By ensuring that this time put the seal of plumbers putty and all the way around the leak and the mother under the sink to make it difficult to compress, the plumbers putty and form a seal. If this fails, you can still use silicon under the sink, so that nobody sees.
If the filter SIT (the thing that fits in the hole 3.5 "in the sink so), and share many of caulk around the rim to adjust the excess seeps. W/3.5 filter nuts problematic. The W / 1.5" nut-Flow filters to ensure that they are much easier w / 99.9% of problem drug use by free life! Hope that helps
